Bear River High School senior Easton Lish is this week’s Headliner Athlete of the Week.
Easton, a member of the Bear River High football team, had a remarkable game on Friday, August 21, at Bear River High against Morgan High School. Easton also had a touchdown for the Bears on August 14, against Juan Diego High School.
Sadly, Easton suffered a possible season ending injury during the Morgan game.
“Easton has really turned into an irreplaceable leader on this team. That hasn’t changed since he got hurt,” said Bear River High’s head football coach Chris Wise.
“I don’t remember a time when I’ve had a young man respond so mature about an injury. Easton is an outstanding young man,” Wise added.
Easton is the son of Drew Lish and Marcy Lish.

Bear River High School senior Paige Petersen, a member of the Bear River girls’ tennis team is this week’s Headliner Athlete of the Week.
Paige and her doubles partner, Eliza Fowler, went undefeated (5/5) against Carbon High and in four Cache Valley Invitational matches.
Paige is one of this year’s team captains for the 2020 Bear River girls’ tennis team.
“Paige is a natural leader and she is my go-to player when I’m busy and need someone to gather players and get them started on a drill. I always know I can count on her with full trust and it will be don to my satisfaction,” said Bear River High head girls’ tennis coach Robert Epling.
Paige is the daughter of Stuart and Misty Petersen.
