BRIGHAM CITY - Ellen Cook, Headliner Media Specialist, February 26, 2022
A 70-year-old man was taken to Brigham City Community Hospital following a hit and run incident on Main Street Saturday night about 7:20 p.m.
Brigham City Police Lt. Tony Ferderber said the man was not in a crosswalk or at an intersection when he stepped into the travel lane at about 606 South, an unlit section of the city. An unknown red vehicle, possibly a Ford Focus according to witnesses, struck the man and then sped away from the scene. The suspect vehicle sustained front end damage, it was reported.
The victim was conscious and breathing when officers arrived, but was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
Anyone with information on the vehicle or the driver is asked to contact Brigham City Police.
