BREAKING NEWS - "No Credible Threats Found After School Lockdown"

No credible threats have been found after schools throughout Box Elder County were placed on a soft lockdown Wednesday morning, March 29. A statement from the Tremonton Garland Police Department will be available when all information from this incident has been processed.


The following information was released by Box Elder School District at 10:20 a.m.


“We want to make you aware of a situation this morning at Box Elder High School. Dispatch received a report of hearing shots being fired outside the school. For cautionary measures, other schools in our District we placed on lockdown and building security was checked by police. Police cleared the schools and found no threats. Schools are now back in session. We understand this may be a stressful situation for your students. Any students who are upset or have concerns can go to the office for support. Students can be checked out by their parents. Other schools in Cache, Weber, and Ogden had similar reports to dispatch. We appreciate how our law enforcement, teachers, and students handled this stressful situation.”
