Registered voters in Box Elder County decided to "Stand with Stan" and stick with who they know best when it came time to pick a candidate to serve on the county commission.

Summers received the most votes in the June 30, Primary Election and he’s running unopposed in the upcoming General Election. Box Elder County listed final Primary Election results on July 6.

The Box Elder County Democratic Party did not list a candidate on this year’s Primary and General elections ballots in the County Commission Seat C race. This win for Summers will make it his third consecutive term as a Box Elder County Commissioner.

This year four candidates were listed on the Republican Party’s ballot for that county commissioner seat - Alden Farr, Stan Summers, Kris Udy and Mitch Zundel.

Here’s how they tallied up:

  • Stan Summers: 4,737

  • Kris Udy: 4,105

  • Mitch Zundel: 2,105

  • Alden Farr: 1,240

This year all registered voters in Utah were required to mail-in ballots their ballots due to COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic concerns. This new guideline also meant more time for Box Elder County to count ballots, resulting in a slight delay in releasing final results.
