BREAKING NEWS - "UHP trooper hit in Sardine Canyon"

A Utah Highway Patrol trooper is recovering from non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Sardine Canyon on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020. The accident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. near milepost 10 on U.S. 89/91.

Road conditions at the time were clear but slick. The accident briefly trapped the trooper in his vehicle. The UHP has not yet released the name of the trooper but did add that he was being evaluated by medical staff for neck pain.
