Utah Governor Gary Herbert made a big announcement on July 9, mandating that masks must be worn at all Utah K-12 schools.
The mandate includes masks for all kindergarten through 12th grade students, teachers and staff, faulty and visitors. The mandate also requires that masks be worn on busses for the fall 2020 semester amid the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
Box Elder School District has not released information on their 2020-2021 school year plans or commented on this new policy.
