TREMONTON - May 6, 2023

The Bear River Rodeo club hosted one of Utah High School Rodeo Association's qualifier queen contests on April 14, 2023, in Tremonton at the Box Elder County fairgrounds. There were nine young women who competed in this year's Bear River Queen contest before the final qualifier competition this month during the Wasatch High School Rodeo.

Each year the UHSRA hosts eight qualifier queen contests (four in the fall and four in the spring) where competitors earn points to qualify for the state finals. The UHSRA state finals will be held in Heber City at the Wasatch County Complex where they will crown a new UHSRA queen and new state champions. The reigning Utah High School Rodeo Queen and National High School Rodeo Queen is Addison Redd.

Lisa Hadlock's basic training queen clinic is one of the top rodeo queen clinics in Utah allowing girls and young women and opportunity to learn and get started or to improve on their skills. This rodeo queen boot camp has been going on for three years now with more and more participants coming each year. Many of the girls that compete in the UHSRA queen contests have gotten their start from Lisa's clinics.
