A silent auction, raffle and a little bull riding competition brought the community together for a fundraiser event to benefit one local Box Elder County woman fighting cancer.

The Buckin’ for Buck$ 3rd annual fall fundraiser was held October 30, at the Box Elder County fairgrounds in Tremonton. This year’s event benefited Lacey Hansen from Fielding who is currently battling cancer.

“I am overwhelmed with the support our little community has shown me. A special thanks to Travis Udy for putting on Buckin’ for Buck$ and sponsoring my family as we go through this new journey,” Hansen said.

In addition to the many local businesses that donated and sponsored this event on Hansen’s behalf, three bull riders competing in the Buckin’ for Buck$ competition donated their winnings to the cause - Dally Sears, Trace Redd and KJ Miller.

With her new catch phrase, “Don’t worry ya’ll, we got this!” and her friends and family by her side, Hansen will continue her fight her battle against cancer during on-going treatments.
