Members of the Tremonton Women’s Civic League recently presented Kathy Newman, Director of the Tremonton Community Food Pantry, with 75 packets that will be distributed to parents of young children in the community to encourage family reading time.
Tremonton Women’s Civic League and the Tremonton City Library worked together to prepare “Reading is a Family Thing” packets to encourage families to spend time reading together. Each packet contains a book, flash cards, library information and tips for families to help their children become readers. The organizations hope that families will use the information in the packets to encourage quality time to become a family that enjoys reading.
