BEAR RIVER VALLEY - May 11, 2022

It's back and shining brighter than ever!

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is scheduled for Thursday, May 12. As in the past, the first stage will begin at Fielding Elementary (100 South Center) at 9 a.m. Garland Elementary will be the second staging sight (300 South 100 West) at 10 a.m.

From Garland Elementary the parade of participants will travel down 100 West to 700 South, then to Main Street in Garland. The torch will then be carried south past Bear River High School to 800 North. Runners will then head to 100 East, then past North Park Elementary to 600 North.

The group will take 600 North to 800 West, and travel past Harris Intermediate School to 350 North, before continuing on to 400 West, down 300 North, and on to Tremont Street. The route will go down Tremont Street to Tremonton City Hall, hoping to arrive before noon for lunch.

This annual event always draws crowds who line the streets, cheering on the students, their teachers and their families, as well as members of law enforcement who join in. The public is again invited to gather along the route in support of Special Olympics.
