COMMUNITY - "Tremonton Women's Civic League to hold opening social"

The Tremonton Women’s Civic League will be celebrating their 81st year on Thursday, September 3, 2020 with an opening social to be held at the Tremonton Public Works Building, 300 E. 1200 S., Tremonton. The opening social begins at 4 p.m.

The club serves the entire Bear River Valley and warmly welcomes new members.

Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month from September through May. When the quarantine restrictions are lifted, the club will return to meeting at the Bear River Valley Senior Center, 510 W. 1000 N., Tremonton.

Fundraising activities in the past have allowed for donations to a variety of projects including the Holmgren Nature Trail, both the Garland and Tremonton libraries, the Boys & Girls Clubs, the Bear River Valley Senior Center, area schools, the Bear River Valley Museum and The Old Barn Community Theater, among others.

Funds and clothing have also been sent to a school in Zambia. In addition, the Education Committee provides a $500 scholarship annually to two local high school seniors.

The Program Committee has lined up some entertaining and informative programs for the upcoming year with local speakers and musical groups. Please join us!
