TREMONTON – By Cari Doutre – April 10, 2020
When public schools in Utah went into a soft closure, Vicki Merryweather, owner of The Art Garage in Tremonton, also adapted her classes to fit the needs of her students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Always, when there’s change, it makes us stop and realize what really matters in our lives,” Vicki said. “My first concern was about my ‘kids’ being able to do their art.”
Vicki put together assignments and supplies for her art students of all ages then turned to technology to give all students, not just her own, an opportunity to get creative.
“We all need to create! I am thankful every day for my delightful art students. Their bubbles and sparkle have brightened my life. They truly feed my soul,” she said.
Vicki has four different art tutorials that can be found by clicking on the links below.
“I know how blessed I am. I want these kids to find their awesomeness. We can do anything!” Vicki added.
