TATEN GAGE

This week’s feature Headliner Athlete of the Week at BRVNEWS.com is Taten Gage, a senior at Bear River High School a member of the Bear River High boys’ water polo team.

Taten has scored over 20 goals so far this season averaging three goals per game for the Bears.

“Taten has always been a strong shooter for the team,” said Danny Esplin, head coach for the Bear River High boys’ water polo team.

“As a senior, he has really worked to become a better all-around player. He has improved his accuracy on this shot and it has made him a much more effective scorer. This has been a steady go-to for the boys’ team. The other boys can count on Taten to provide scoring throughout the game,” Esplin added.

Taten is the son of Wesley and Jessica Simmons.

REAGAN TURESON

Reagan Tureson is this week’s featured Headliner Athlete of the Week at BRVNEWS.com for her addition to the Bear River High School girls’ water polo team this year.

“Reagan has been a true force for the girls’ water polo team on offense and defense,” said Danny Esplin, Bear River High’s water polo coach.

Averaging five goals per game, Reagan has scored more than 40 goals alone so far this season. Defensively, she has had over 20 steals.

“Teams try to keep the ball away from her on offense and defense. She is a shooting threat from anywhere in the pool,” Esplin added.

Reagan is a junior at Bear River High and is the daughter of Peter and Laura Tureson.
