Carson Noorda, a senior at Bear River High School and a team captain for boys’ swim team, is this week’s featured Athlete of the Week at BRVNEWS.com for his hard work, dedication and leadership this season.
“He is a great teammate to everyone on the team,” said Danny Esplin, Bear River High’s swim coach.
“Carson has been dropping time in all his races and dropped almost 20 seconds in his 500 freestyle at our meet against Logan,” Esplin added.
Carson is the son of Darin and Alicia Noorda.
MORGAN MICKELSON
This week’s featured Headliner Athlete of the Week at BRVNEWS.com goes to Morgan Mickelsen for her performance so far this season for the Bear River High School girls’ swim team.
Morgan is having a success season and dominated the 50 freestyle and the 100 breast-stroke events on Jan. 7, against Logan High School. She took first place in both individual races and was part of two medley teams that also took first that day at Bear River High.
“She always works hard and is always smiling,” said Danny Esplin, Bear River High swim coach.
Morgan is a junior at Bear River High and is the daughter of Ira and Jeniel Mickelsen.
