CHANCE UDY
Chance Udy, a senior at Bear River High School, had a remarkable game against Ridgeline High on Friday, Sept. 11, for the Bear River football team. Chance scored two touchdowns for the Bears that night during the school’s annual homecoming football game.
“Chance is an outright leader. He doesn’t care how we get it done, just that we get it done,” said Bear River High’s head football coach Chris Wise.
“He isn’t a player that has to have the ball in his hand, he just wants the team to win and improve. He is going to be a success because of that trait,” Wise added.
Chance is the son of Chad and Kacee Udy of Tremonton.
KORTNIE BURTON
Bear River High School’s Kortnie Burton is this week’s Headliner Athlete of the Week for her contribution to the Bear River volleyball team for the 2020 season.
Kortnie has had 13 aces and over 80 digs and is a solid all-around player for the Bears’ varsity team.
“I put in a new system with libero she brought in and she’s been awesome. She improves every week,” said Jana Brown, head volleyball coach at Bear River High.
Kortnie is a senior at Bear River High and is the daughter of Todd and Steffanie Burton of Elwood.
