ASHTON HARROW
This week’s featured Headliner Athlete of the Week at BRVNEWS.com goes to Ashton Harrow for his performance last weekend, March 11-13, for the Bear River High School baseball team in St. George.
In the team’s season opener, Ashton gave up just one hit and struck out 10 on the mound against Payson High School on March 11, for the 12-0 win for the Bears.
“Ashton has a blue-collar type work ethic. He puts in relentless hours on the field and in the classroom to succeed and help the team,” said Don Hawes, head coach for the Bear River High baseball team.
Ashton is a junior at Bear River High and is the son of Jeff and Lisa Harrow of Tremonton.
KYNLEI NELSON
Kynlei Nelson, a junior at Bear River High School and a member of the softball team, is this week’s featured Headliner Athlete of the Week at BRVNEWS.com. She had a great weekend in St. George, March 11-13, where she had the second highest batting average, four runs and an RBI.
Kynlei’s key to success? Confidence.
“She has a lot more confidence than last year and the difference is night and day. She came out this weekend and dominated both offensively and defensively… She did great,” said Calvin Bingham, head coach of the Bear River High softball team.
Kynlei is the daughter of Sven and Megan Nelson.
