BRADEN MUNNS

Bear River High School’s Braden Munns is this week’s featured Headliner Athlete of the Week at BRVNEWS.com for his contribution and leadership on the Bear River High boys’ lacrosse team for the 2021 season.

Braden, goalie for the boys’ varsity team this year, is not only leading the league is saves so far this season, he has also proven to be a strong leader and presence on the team as well.

“He is a great athlete who understands the game at a high level,” said Coj Miller, head coach of the Bear River High boys’ lacrosse team.

“His leadership for the team is proving to be priceless and he’s willing to coach younger players while also leading by example. Players like Braden do not come along very often,” Miller added.

Braden is a senior at Bear River High and is the son of Breton and Jaime Munns.


MARLEY KIERSTEAD

This week’s featured Headliner Athlete of the Week for BRVNEWS.com goes to Marley Kierstead, a sophomore on the Bear River High School girls’ lacrosse team this year.

Marley has been the girls’ varsity lacrosse team’s leading scorer this season contributing eight goals alone on Tuesday, March 23, against Box Elder High for a 18-4 win. She also had one assist, seven ground balls and two draw controls against the Bees that day.

On March 11, Marley had seven of the Bears’ 13 goals that night for another win, 13-2, this time over Payson High School.

Marley is the daughter of Colt and Stefanie Kierstead of Tremonton.
