BRIGHAM CITY – By Cari Doutre, Headliner Publisher – August 11, 2021
It didn’t take long for the DL Evans Bank Brigham City branch to make a big impact on the community they are serving. In fact, it happened before they even cut the ribbon on their new location during their August 3, 2021, grand opening celebration.
As members of the DL Evans Bank corporate and local divisions welcomed visitors and briefed the public on the history of the business, their newest location in Brigham City, and introduced staff members, they also paused to recognize another local business owner and his charitable efforts for the community.
Kelly Driscoll, owner of Drewes Floral & Gift in Brigham City, has been an advocate for the Brigham Suicide Prevention program with his fundraising efforts and bringing community awareness to this issue.
During last week’s grand opening ceremonies, Ken Doutre, Branch Manager for the DL Evans Bank Brigham City branch, along with the many others in on the surprise, presented a check for $2,500 to the Brigham Suicide Prevention program as Driscoll finished his remarks on stage.
Tears of gratitude were shed from Driscoll and others in attendance as he thanked everyone who put forth the efforts for the generous donation for the organization.

The Box Elder Chamber of Commerce then held their official ribbon cutting before lunch was served courtesy of local Brigham City business The Dutch Oven Shoppe with beverages provided by Admiral Beverage (Pepsi) and The Healthy Hive – also Brigham City area businesses.
