A Tremonton man is behind bars and facing several felony charges that include Domestic Violence, Disorderly Conduct, Aggravated Assault and Assault on Police in an incident in Elwood on May 27.
According to the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department, shortly after 11:20 a.m. a 911 call was made to emergency dispatchers at the Box Elder Communications Center to report an individual with a gun, and shots fired, near 8000 N. in Elwood.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Jeramy Ford Head, 43, to be agitated. Officers attempted to calm Head down but were unable to do so, eventually tasing Head before taking him into custody.

The report added that Head was “agitated with his girlfriend,” which led to a child making the 911 call.
“It was determined it was one of the children calling, that they were in a relatively safe location and Dispatch kept them on the line,” the report stated.
The woman and her children were unharmed in the incident.
Head was taken to a local hospital and cleared before being booked into the Box Elder County Jail in Brigham City.
The Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office, Utah Highway Patrol and the Tremonton/Garland Police Department responded to the incident.
