TREMONTON - By Cari Doutre - June 17, 2021

A truck that took a dip in a Tremonton canal on June 17, 2021, wasn't actually trying to escape the heat during Utah's current heatwave. It really was just an accident.
It happened Thursday afternoon near 650 W. Main St., in Tremonton when the rope attached to the towing hinge of a vehicle pulling an unoccupied truck behind it escaped the hinge. The unoccupied truck then entered the canal. A towing company was called in to help pull the truck out of the canal safely. No injuries were reported in the incident.
