An accident on Tremonton's Main Street Tuesday afternoon, July 19, sent a pedestrian to the hospital and has police still investigating the cause.
Acting Tremonton Garland Police Chief Brian Crockett said the injured pedestrian, a male in his 20s, was crossing the street at 100 W. Main when he was struck by a female driver headed eastbound.
The man was transported by ambulance to Bear River Valley Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released later that evening.
Crockett said a search warrant was activated after impairment of the driver was suspected. A blood sample was taken and have been submitted for testing.
"We will take appropriate action once we get those results," he said.
