A two-vehicle crash on SR-30 in Riverside Wednesday morning, left a 62-year-old Cache County man dead.
According to a report from Utah Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at the intersection of SR-30 and 4400 W. about 10 a.m. The victim was in a Honda Accord traveling northbound and failed to stop at the stop sign, pulling into the path of a GMC pickup truck heading eastbound. The Accord was hit broadside and the driver killed on impact.
The driver of the pickup was treated at the scene by medical personnel and released.
The report noted that alcohol containers were found inside the Accord and are part of the investigation into the contributing cause of the accident.
Names are not being released at this time, UHP said.
