A single-car accident on Friday, April 8, about 4 p.m. claimed the life of a 15-year-old Washington teen and injured two others.
Information provided by Utah Highway Patrol said the driver, a 17-year-old, was traveling westbound on I-84 near milepost 22 when she apparently overcorrected and then lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll. The accident occurred in Box Elder County between Snowville and Howell.
The 15-year-old front seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The mother, who was in the back seat, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
All three were wearing seatbelts, the report said.
