Utah Highway Patrol troopers and Fielding EMS responded to a semi-truck that had gone off the road near mile marker 386 on I-15 Friday afternoon, November 5, about 1:45.

The DPS report said the truck driver was headed southbound when it appears he suffered a fatal medical issue. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and through a large ditch.

When troopers and EMS arrived on scene, the driver was not breathing, and no pulse could be found. CPR was started but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Garland Fire was called out as a Hazmat crew to clean up oil and gas spills following the crash.
