PROMONTORY - January 20, 2021
On Thursday, Jan. 21, Northrop Grumman will conduct a validation ground test of the extended-length 63-inch Graphite Epoxy Motor (GEM 63XL) that will be used for United Launch Alliance’s Vulcan Centaur launch vehicle that will carry cargo destined for the Moon in 2021.
The test will be conducted at the company’s test facility in Promontory, Utah. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no in-person media or public viewing opportunities.
