NEWS – “Two injured in accident near Bear River City”

An investigation continues into an accident on Saturday, October 3, near 6800 N. just east of Little Mountain near Bear River City that left two men injured.

At approximately 2 p.m. a report of an accident involving a truck that entered a drainage ditch containing a cement drainpipe. Authorities believe the driver of the vehicle fell asleep and exited the roadway. The force of the accident ejected the passenger trapping him under it. The driver was able to exit the vehicle on his own after the crash.

Authorities have not released the names of the driver or the passenger but did add both men are from Garland.

The driver, 18, was treated at Bear River Valley Hospital in Tremonton. The passenger, 19, was extricated from the vehicle by emergency responders and was transported to Bear River Valley Hospital. He was stabilized then flown to McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden for further treatment.
