A fond farewell to Bear River High's Class of 2022 was had on June 1, as graduates participated in a commencement ceremony on the Bear River High School football field. While traditional speeches from class representatives and others were made, there were also a few new traditions started.

This year's graduation ceremony was held outside on Bear Field, the school's now newly turfed multi-sport field. It was also the first traditional graduation ceremony held since 2019 after COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and guidelines were made in 2020 and 2021.

However, despite the lift on all COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions this year, Bear River High decided to continue offering a livestreaming option for graduation ceremonies, something that started in 2020 during the height of the pandemic.

For the third year in a row, Bear River Live, a locally owned and operated multi-media and livestreaming company by Andy and Jessica Tanner, offered livestreaming coverage of Bear River High's graduation ceremonies.

With an outdoor venue close to home and plenty of seating for everyone and an 8 p.m. start time, this year's graduates were celebrated with a round of fireworks when the ceremony concluded.

And what would a graduation be without a simple and harmless senior prank on the administration? While some graduates walked across the stage to receive their diplomas, a few exchanged brightly colored ping-pong, golf balls and even a lemon with Bear River High's Principal AJ Gilmore.
