Nearly 1,000 FFA members from 58 chapters across Utah, Idaho and Wyoming converged on the Box Elder County Fairgrounds on Thursday, February 24, for the 4th Annual Northern Utah Invitational Judging Contest. This multi-state competition was made possible through the efforts of multiple advisors in the Utah FFA area.
During the event, students competed in a variety of areas including Prepared Public Speaking, Livestock Judging, Ag Sales, Ag Mechanics, Floriculture and more. This event gives participants an opportunity to practice for state competitions in the future.
Bear River FFA was represented well in this year’s contests, and several brought home awards. Those winners include:
1st place: Brinley Rhodes - Prepared Public Speaking
1st place: Katie Hewlett, Sydney Wilkinson, Wyatt Zollinger and Jerry Anderson - Ag Sales team
2nd High Individual: Katie Hewlett - Ag Sales
2nd High Individual: Sydney Wilkinson - Ag Sales
2nd place: Taylee Tanner, Jocephine Tanner, Hailey Branch and Brylee Fawson - Team Livestock Judging
2nd High Individual: Kylie Kunzler - Livestock Judging
2nd High Individual: Tyler Dennis - Ag Mechanics
