GARLAND – May 31, 2021

Garland Elementary School has announced this year’s top 5th grade students following a tradition started more than 20 years ago by the Tremonton Kiwanis Club.
James Ware, son of Matt and Laura Ware, and Lynsi Gardner, daughter of Jonathan and Jamie Gardner, are Garland Elementary School’s 2021 recipients of the Hope of America Award. They were presented with their awards on May 21, by the Tremonton Kiwanis Club.
The Hope of America Award, presented by the Tremonton Kiwanis Club, has been a tradition for over 20 years in the community. It started by “believing that the strength of our nation was directly related to the strength of our schools and our students,” as the club states.
Every year selected 5th and 6th grade students at local participating elementary and intermediate schools are honored.
“This award was created to honor outstanding students who demonstrated during the school year: leadership, good character, scholarship and a willing to serve others,” the Tremonton Kiwanis Club stated.
The Tremonton Kiwanis Club aims to honor students in participating schools that are, “willing to BUILD a better tomorrow.”
