Region 11 competition is underway for the Bear River High baseball team starting with a three-game series against Sky View High where the Bears dominated the Bobcats in all three games.
Starting on March 29, at Sky View High School, the Bears came from behind trailing the Bobcats 4-3, in the fifth inning before putting two runs on the scoreboard and capturing the lead. Two more in the sixth and seventh innings sealed the deal for the Bears as they beat Sky View, 9-4.
At the plate senior Garrison Marble went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Alec Callister also went 3-for-4 and Hunter Smoot hit a double for the Bears. Senior Hunter Harrow had the win on the mound for the Bears striking out five and giving up five hits.
Following up their win, the Bears hosted the Bobcats the next day, March 30, and another victory for Bear River. With senior Ashton Harrow at the plate for the Bears, he struck out six and gave up seven hits and two runs for the win, 10-2.
Marble continued to dominate at the plate once again going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a double. A. Harrow went 2-for-4 with a double and Smoot went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a double.

One more game in the series, and up 2-0, the Bears traveled to Sky View High one last time on April 1, this time coming home with another big win, 15-4.
Marble’s hot bat continued for the Bears’ third match-up of the week once again going 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and a triple. Younger brother, sophomore Talan Marble, came up big for the Bears hitting two doubles and a triple while going 3-for-4 with four RBIs.
Callister went 2-for-4 with a double and cousins Hunter Harrow and Ashton Harrow each hit a double. Degan Rigby had the win on the mound for Bear River.

Up next for the Bear River High baseball team, after a cancelled game on April 12, against Logan High School, the Bears are set to take on the Grizzlies in a three-game series this week. The Bears will travel to Logan High on Wednesday, April 13, and host the Grizzlies on Friday, April 15, starting at 3:30 p.m.
