The Bear River High School boys’ golf team has yet to earn a team win in Region 11 this season as they continue to face tough competition in Cache Valley.
The Bears traveled to Smithfield on September 7, for Sky View High School’s host tournament at Birch Creek Golf Course where they took fifth overall as a team. Ridgeline High (293), Green Canyon High (314), Sky View High (316) and Logan High (324) took home the top four spots that day. Bear River High (359) and Mountain Crest High (369) rounded out the tournament.
Individually, Padin Hartfiel (81), Ryker Bennett (82), Maverick Sorensen (97) and Denver Reese (99) finished in the top four spots for Bear River High.
The Bears finish the 2021 season with the following schedule:
September 13: Region 11 at Logan River Golf Course (hosted by Logan High)
September 20: Region 11 at Logan River Golf Course (hosted by Mountain Crest High)
September 23: Region 11 at Logan Country Club (hosted by Ridgeline High)
September 27-28: Region 11 Championships at Eagle Mountain Golf Course (Brigham City)
October 6-7: 4A State Championships at Birch Creek Golf Course (Smithfield)
