The Bear River High cheer team started their competition season last weekend traveling to Cottonwood High on December 4, for the USA Utah Regional competition. With hopes to attain a bid to the next level of competition, schools throughout northern Utah were there, all with the same goal - to compete at Nationals in 2022.

During the cheer team’s first competition of the season jitters were apparent as they stumbled a bit early in their Game Day routine. The team was able to rally and finish the day strong with their Pom Routine, led and choreographed by seniors Zoe Sorenson and Kinley Richards.

The Bears left the competition with the bid in hand, and plenty of hardware to take home. They took home first place in the Pom Routine and second place in both their Game Day and Show Cheer routines.

Next up is the Nationals competition February 25-26, 2022, in Anaheim, California.
