Bundled up against the bitter cold and ready to golf, the Bear River High girls' golf team officially started the Region 11 season on Monday, March 21, as they hosted their only home tournament of the season. Skyway Golf Course in Tremonton was jammed packed as all six region teams gathered to kick off the season.
Individually Bear River's Tylee Bennett took 4th at the tournament shooting a 94. Not far behind was Angie Delgado in 7th place shooting a 97. The Bears sent only 8 of their golfers to compete where the Lady Bears finished in 4th place overall with 405 points.
Ridgeline High took 1st place with 378 points followed by Green Canyon High (395) and Mountain Crest High (399). Finishing up the tournament in 5th and 6th place, respectively, was Sky View High (408) and Logan High (454).
Up next for the Bear River High girls' golf team is a trip to Logan Country Club for Ridgeline High School's home tournament on Monday, April 11.
