SPORTS - "Golfers take third at Logan River Golf Course"

The Bear River High School boys’ golf team fell to third place in a Region 11 tournament on Thursday, September 4.

Last week’s competition was held at Logan River Golf Course, Mountain Crest High’s home course. As a team the Bears totaled 318 points. Ridgeline High School took first (308) and Sky View High took second (314). Finishing out the tournament were Green Canyon High (324), Logan High (328) and Mountain Crest High (331).

Individually, Bear River High’s Jarett Giles took fourth place (75), followed by Dylan Christensen (80) in 11th place, Greg Summers (81) and Marcus Callister (82).

The Bears will take on Logan River Golf Course for the second week in a row, this time hosted by Logan High, on Thursday, September 10. Tee time is set for 1 p.m.
