BEAR RIVER HIGH - April 28, 2020

Bracken Bjorn, a senior at Bear River High School, has been an instrumental part of the Bear River boys’ lacrosse team over the past two years.

“Bracken is a great teammate and leader. I’ve been super impressed with his strong work ethic and desire to improve every day. Bracken has developed over the past two seasons into an intimidating defender that controls his opponents. Coaching him has been a privilege,” said Bear River High’s boys’ lacrosse coach Coj Miller.

Bracken is the son of Chad and Jennifer Bjorn.

In the one game the Bear River softball team got to play this season against Snow Canyon High in March, Oaklee came in as a quiet but powerful leader on the field as one of only three seniors this year.

“Some kids quietly lead by example and hard work,” Bear River High’s head softball coach Calvin Bingham said about Oaklee.

“I maintain that she’s the best first baseman I’ve coached in 20 years,” Bingham added. “She’s left her mark.”

“She’s been a really good player for us,” he said.

This fall Oaklee will play college softball joining the Dixie State University team in St. George.

Oaklee is a senior at Bear River High and is the daughter of Ryan and Sandie Trapp.
