BEAR RIVER HIGH – By Cari Doutre – January 20, 2021
And away they go to the 4A state drill team competition for the 2020-21 Bear River High Hi-Steppers team after qualifying for state during the Region 11 competition earlier this week.
On Tuesday, Jan. 19, the dancers performed their three competition routines – military, dance and show, in front of a panel of judges. The Hi-Steppers’ performances advanced them onto the 4A State Drill to be held Feb. 9, at Utah Valley University in Orem.
Check out BRVNEWS.com’s interview with the three captains of the Hi-Steppers team this year – Drill Mistress Brinley Burrup, Jr. Drill Mistress Kinzy Bronson and Historian Morgan Bingham, on our weekly newscast, “Valley Headliners” this Monday, Jan. 25, at 5:30 p.m.
We will also feature clips of each of their three routines during Tuesday’s region competition courtesy of Candice Bronson.
On the Feb. 1, “Valley Headliners” show, we will hear from Hi-Stepper coaches Stevie Aoki and Starlee Buttars and meet this year's team.
