Kace Jones, a senior at Bear River High School, was named Region 11 football’s Offensive MVP for his contributions to the varsity football team this fall. Jones shares the honor with Jake Lundin from Green Canyon High School. Both were given the honor as co-recipients. In the 2020 season Jones, a tailback for the Bears, carried 1,311 yards.
In addition to earning Region 11 honors, which is determined by region football coaches, Jones also made the Deseret News’ 4A All-State Team and the All-Region 11 First Team along with teammates Baxter Wise and Trevin Toone – both seniors at Bear River High.
Wise a center for the Bears’ varsity team, had 82 pancake blocks in the 2020 football season. He also returned to the field his senior year after overcoming a back injury and surgery his junior year.
Also earning All-Region 11 First Team nods this year are Garrison Marble, a junior at Bear River High. Chance Udy and Kaeson Burn made the All-Region Second Team while Cael Wilcox, Braden Munns, Braxton Christensen, Justice Dworshak, Josh Payne, Gabe Dwaileebe, Izzy Varela Jr. and Ryker Jeppsen earned honorable mentions.
