The Bear River High School volleyball team is in full competitive force for the 2020 season, going 1-1 this week in Region 11 play.
The Bears hosted Ridgeline High School on Thursday, September 17, earning a 3-2 win. Bear River beat Ridgeline in five sets (25-17, 25-18, 23-25, 11-25, 17-19).
The Lady Bears traveled to Mountain Crest High School earlier this week on Tuesday, September 15, where the Bears took home a 3-1 loss to the Mustangs. Bear River lost in four sets (19-25, 26-24, 9-25, 19-25).

Tia Matthews had seven kills for the Bears on the court with Taige Austin, Maizy Giles and Carlee Miller with five each. Senior Kortnie Burton and sophomore Kate Dahle ended the night with 11 digs each. Marijka Hughes and Giles each had five digs.
Up next for the Lady Bears on the volleyball court is a trip to Sky View High School on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The Bears will host Green Canyon High School on Thursday, Sept. 24. Varsity game time is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
