BRIGHAM CITY - May 26, 2022

Utah State University Brigham City Region is excited to offer the Sagebrush Spectacular pickleball tournament and community Palooza party, June 9-11, at the Brigham City Pickleball Courts, 221 N. 600 W. This event is designed to help students by providing scholarships. The Sagebrush Spectacular has four main events designed to interest all ages.

Thursday June 9, will be a Pickleball Palooza, which includes dinner with Aggie Ice Cream, family games, paddle throwing contest, dignitary palooza battle, USU merchandise for sale and open courts for free play. It will be an enjoyable evening for family and friends to come party and play pickleball.

On the same evening, there will be a pickleball clinic for beginners and intermediate players to learn the basics and fundamentals of the game. If you have always wanted to learn to play or if you would just like pointers on how to sharpen your skills, this clinic is for you.

June 10, will be a high school prep tournament. Schools are encouraged to put together their best team and compete head-to-head to see who rules the courts. The Sagebrush Spectacular could become the premier event for high school clubs to earn championship bragging rights in the future.

June 10-11, will be an open tournament for pickleball players who are at skill levels 3 and above. This is a serious competition with categories of mixed, women’s and men’s competitions. Tournament champions will win medals and other prizes. Scholarships will be provided through registration fees and sponsorships.
