Although the Lady Bears basketball team led at half-time they suffered another defeat in region play—this time at the hands of the Logan Grizzlies.
On Jan. 23, Bear River hit the court in Logan ready to play and rained down 12 points for an early lead. The second quarter was neck and neck, but the Bears ended the half on top, 18-17.
Unfortunately for the Bears, Logan answered back by scoring 19 in the third—more than doubling their points from the first half. Although the Bears had opportunities, good shots didn’t fall and they fell behind 36-22.
Logan outscored Bear River again in the fourth, 15-10, for the 51-32 win. Turnovers contributed to the loss, but the Bears plan to work on that in their games to come.
Next week the Lady Bears will host Green Canyon on Tuesday, Jan. 28. They will then travel to Sky View on Thursday, Jan. 30 to take on the Bobcats. Bear River Live will be streaming both of those games.
