It was an epic birthday for Ross Martin of Tremonton when the clock struck midnight on Monday, June 21, 2021. It was his birthday. Only not just your ordinary kind of birthday - this was Ross's 100th birthday!
And Ross's family had some epic plans ready for his birthday party.
First came the Garland Fire Department with a fire truck ready to take Ross for a (slow) spin around his neighborhood - sirens, lights and all. Friends and family members watched as Ross was gently placed in the front of the fire truck in the passenger's row before taking off for his ride of a lifetime.
Then came Ross's friends and neighbors. They all stopped by to join an outside birthday party hosted at his daughter and son-in-law's house. Ross also enjoyed a special violin performance from his neighbor Carisa Epling. Cupcakes and other treats were served and on display were photographs and other momentums that filled the last 100 years of Ross's life.
There was no better way to celebrate an epic milestone and to honor a man now a century old.
