COMMUNITY - "Last but not least, the 2020 Golden Spike Rodeo Little Princess and Mini Miss"

Despite uncertainty during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, this year’s 2020 Golden Spike Rodeo Queen contests were held June 24-25 and included a few adjustments to meet current restrictions.

Nonetheless, six royalties were crowned in various age divisions starting with Senior Queen, Junior Queen and Princess competitions on June 24, at the Box Elder County fairgrounds in Tremonton. The contests for Little Princess, Mini Miss and Sweethearts were held Thursday, June 25.

This year's Little Princess, Mini Miss and Sweetheart royalty, as well as the Golden Spike Rodeo Senior Queen, Junior Queen and Princess results, can be found below this statement released by Box Elder County on social media on May 26, 2020:


2020 Fair Announcement: The 95th annual Box Elder County Fair, Concert and Golden Spike Rodeo to be held in August 2020 Box Elder County announced that the 95th annual Box Elder County Fair, Concert and Golden Spike Rodeo will be held August 22 through August 29, 2020 at the Box Elder County fairgrounds. Fair, concert and rodeo activities will respectfully follow state and local guidelines, including any state color-coded status updates, to help maintain the safety of attendees, exhibitors and staff.

“The Box Elder County Fair has always been a big part of our county’s history. This year’s 95th anniversary will be even more historic,” said Fair Board President Jan Rhodes. “We hope the fair and concert will bring light to our community after the recent challenges so many people have faced. Our fair grows in popularity and attendance every year. We expect that this year will be no different.”

Many parts of the agricultural community have seen negative impacts this year, but the fair is adapting to ensure successful events. The Box Elder Junior Livestock has also adjusted its livestock show and we are expecting a top-notch performance. Fair attendance will be free, limited activities and the real-time updates on ticketing and other fair news, follow Box Elder County on Instagram and Facebook @BoxCounty

This year the fair will feature:

· The Box Elder Junior Livestock Show

· The Golden Spike Rodeo held in the rodeo arena with all new seating

· A live concert (details to be announced)

· Food and activities for all ages
