TREMONTON - March 17, 2022

Rodeo queens from around the western United States attended an informational clinic March 11-12, at the Box Elder County fairgrounds in Tremonton. Young women from Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and Washinton (40 girls total) as young as 6 years old, attended the event.

The clinic consisted of basic of horsemanship patterns, tack selection, clothes, fitting, boot care (style and care) modeling work, approach and walk, presentation, impromptu questions and answers and proper use of the microphone.

With former rodeo queens and mentors instructing the students in all aspects of the rodeo queen life, and most of all the school of hard knocks from "been there, done that, now learn from me," the education provided was well worth it.

Saturday night finished up with a "Pink Rose" ceremony to remind the girls they can accomplish anything they put their heart and minds to.
