EASTON LISH
Easton Lish, a senior at Bear River High School, a three-sport athlete, is this week’s featured Athlete of the Week at BRVNEWS.com for his performance so far this season on the varsity boys’ basketball team at Bear River High.
Easton led the team in rebounds against Sky View High on Friday, Jan. 15, in a matchup with a tough Bobcats team. Despite a loss for the Bears that night, Easton’s hard work and talent on the basketball court this season has led the team to several big wins.
Coming into the 2020-21 basketball season, Easton has had to overcome an injury sustained last August during a Bear River High football game to get to where he is today.
Easton is the son of Drew Lish and Marcy Lish.
KATE DAHLE
This week’s featured Headliner Athlete of the Week at BRVNEWS.com goes to Bear River High School sophomore Kate Dahle for her contribution to the Bear River High girls’ basketball program this year.
“Kate is a team leader that leads by example. Her ‘get to work’ attitude influences our entire team,” said Tyrell Neal, head coach of the Bear River High girls’ varsity basketball team.
“She has proven her toughness on defense, on the offensive and defensive rebounds, and her scoring within the offense and on rebounds. It has been wonderful to coach her and watch her develop her individual and team skills,” he added.
Kate is the daughter of Scott and Heather Dahle of Tremonton.
