INTERSTATE 15 - August 14, 2022
A thunderstorm rolled through the Bear River Valley Sunday night, August 14, at about 7 p.m., causing wet roads and resulting in a crash that send two people to the hospital with injuries.
Information from Utah Highway Patrol said the accident was between Mile Marker 384 and 385 on I-15, as a four-door sedan traveling southbound in the left lane began to hydroplane in the wet conditions. The driver lost control and was struck by a large SUV.
Two occupants were transported to Bear River Valley Hospital by ambulance in serious but stable condition. Medical personnel from Tremonton and Garland responded.
The left lane was blocked due to the crash and was closed as Tremonton Police and UHP conducted an investigation.
