COLLINSTON - March 21, 2023
A 28-year-old Cache County driver of a Ford F-250 was killed in a crash/rollover on Hwy 38 near MM18, Collinston, on Tuesday morning, March 21, and law enforcement is still investigating to determine the chain of events that led to the fatal accident.
A report from Utah Highway Patrol stated that about 9:10 a.m., a 2005 Mazda 3, driven by a 22-year-old man was southbound. The northbound Ford and the Mazda, at some point, sideswiped, peeling off the doors of the Mazda.
The Ford swerved to the right and onto the shoulder. The driver then overcorrected back to the left, rolling the pickup. He was partially ejected and sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the Mazda was not injured.
The road was closed for several hours as the scene was assessed and reopened about 1:30 p.m.
