Garland City Mayor Todd Miller and Fred Christensen - Feb. 3, 2021

Fred Christensen’s love for Garland City is apparent in the years of service he gave back to his community. And for those countless acts of service, Garland City wanted to show their appreciation and thank him for all that Christensen has done to improve the lives of those around him.

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, Garland City Mayor Todd Miller and the city council, presented Christensen with a plaque and a gift. During the presentation Miller recognized Christensen for all his many acts of volunteer work for the city and gave him a proper thank-you as well.

“He has had tireless service to Garland City for an uncountable number of years and I want to recognize him for that and present him with a token of our appreciation,” Miller said.

Christensen’s service to the city includes eight years as a member of the Garland City Council. After his service on the council, he continued on as the city’s liaison with the Box Elder Mosquito Abatement District.
