Box Elder Sheriff’s deputies have been joined by Search and Rescue personnel from both Box Elder and Weber counties as they look for a missing Lucin man, 19-year-old Dylan Rounds.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Cade Palmer with the Box Elder Sheriff's Department said searchers have been assisted by a Department of Public Safety helicopter, search dogs and the Elko Sheriff's Department.

“So far there is just no trace,” Palmer said. Rounds disappeared from his family’s property on Saturday, May 25. He had been living there, farming and helping neighbors irrigate crops. His truck was there and locked, "There was no sign of how he went," Palmer added.

Palmer said, in talking to family members and others who knew Rounds, he seemed to be a good, hard-working young man. Those family members, who are from Idaho, have organized volunteers and started their own search in western Box Elder County, separate from the Sheriff’s Department, Palmer added.

His department will continue to look for clues and to follow up on tips but, “we are just hitting dead ends. You name a scenario right now and that could be what happened.”
