The boys’ and girls’ wrestling teams from Bear River High took on one of the toughest tournaments in the state January 14-15, the Rockwell Rumble. The boys’ varsity and junior varsity wrestled both Friday and Saturday while the girls’ varsity wrestling team wrestled on Saturday only.

River Smith (175) was the standout for the boys’ varsity tournament. He was the only wrestler to find the podium and finished in 5th place. The competition in this tournament is very tough with teams flying in from all over the country to wrestle. The boys wrestled well and had many great matches as many wrestlers went deep into their brackets but were unable to reach the podium.
