BEAR RIVER HIGH - By Cari Doutre, Headliner Publisher, February 24, 2023

The end of the season has arrived for the Bear River High girls' basketball team after the Lady Bears lost to Snow Canyon High in the 4A state playoffs on February 23, at Utah State University. The Warriors from Snow Canyon defeated Bear River, 52-47, ultimately ending their season with an overall record of 11-11.

Two days prior, the Lady Bears hosted Pine View High in the first round of the 4A state playoffs on February 21, defeating the Panthers, 55-47. Bear River held a 28-20 lead going into the half, but the Panther's came back with a vengeance scoring 17 points in the 3rd quarter. But it was too little too late as the Bears once again took the lead in the 4th quarter putting up 19 points on the scoreboard for the win.
